Fire Field's BGM without the other bullsh*t (+Other FanFavs)

This topic might be more of "general," but I thought it would be a nice addition to the SNES board for those who still listen to the game's cool-as-heck soundtrack despite some of the music being for the most FRUSTRATING courses (Like the topic's formentioned track, Fire Field).

So without further adeu... If you have a favorite song from the SNES F-Zero, post it, and if it's a certain official version (Produced by Nintendo/Sega/Tony Thai), post the particular mix, as well.

P.S. I like the songs to be refered to by certain names, so I have a list of my mostly-fanmade titles here for you to use as a referance:

1. Endless Challenge - Mute City (Name Given in Respective F-Zero X Soundtracks)

2. Decide In The Eyes - Big Blue (Same with Mute City Theme above)

3. Sand Storm - Sand Ocean (OBVIOUSLY!)

4. Wind Power - Death Wind

5. Quiet Blast - Silence (Don't ask me how I came up with such a retarded name for this one!)

6. Goroh's Rage - Red Canyon (Named so because Samurai Goroh LIVES in Red Canyon)

7. Snow Runway - White Land I

8. Smack-Down - White Land II (Again don't ask me why it HAS that name)

9. Snake Road - Port Town (Named after the subtitle given to SNES F-Zero's Port Town II in F-Zero X)

10. Heart's On Fire - The ever-so-knock-your-teeth-out frustrating Fire Field (Another "retarded" song name)

Personally, I have no preferences except that I think Snow Runway needs more of that "rock punch" that themes such as Snake Road and Heart's On Fire deliver. Any who agree?

This is my stuff right here.

http://ibis56.blogspot.com/2010/04/f-zero-ost-jazz-arranged-version-1992.html

You can find the actual songs on Youtube by simply searching "F-zero Arranged"

Nintendo released this for Japan in 1992 (I swear Japan gets all the cool video game stuff :p). It's all done by a jazz band. Whether you like Jazz, F-Zero, or both, this album is a true win.

My favorites from the album are WL, SO, and DW.

Well, I have to admit, for me, they DID at least TRY. But, unfortunately, the Jazz genre dosen't do some of the songs justice (And I said SOME, particularly Fire Field, Port Town, Silence and Death Wind. But then again, in my fan-named "Wind Power," which is Death Wind's song, they still managed to make the majority of the theme recognizable). No offence, but that's just me.

Thanks for the link! I've never known about this until now and I'm a big fan of Jazz music. I just listened to the whole album and I have to say it's really interesting. I would have liked though if they had kep the originial themes a bit more prominent in there but this is a really great listen!

Well, WMJ... Still... what song do you consider your favorite? (Please refer to my list of fan-made song names)

@XaikuTheMaverickHunter: I can see your point, especially about FF. It definitely fails to capture the intensity that should be a true FF song.

@WMJ: Yeah man, no problem!

Also, MORE SONGS! I don't know if any of you have gone to OCRemix.com, but here are some links to songs from their website.

http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01494/ This one is a nice piano piece of BB titled 'The Flood Plain' by JigginJonT. Recognizable (wait until about 54 secs in), but softly played. (There is a link to the right that lets you play it from YT if you do not want to download it.)

http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01143/ Here is another by JigginJonT of Silence titled "Silent Progression." Once again, a very recognizable and soft piano piece.

http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01467/ One more by JJT titled 'Voices Broken,' a remix of MC. This one features guitar, bass, and drums.

There are many more F-Zero remixes on OCRemix too http://ocremix.org/game/89/f-zero-snes

Here's a link to a band that plays MC,BB, and PT in one song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGOOI8mplqc

The following songs come from Super Smash Bros. Brawl

FF: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9gQzqwoETU

MC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JethiTbIfCc

WL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOp0pwxQmRU

I think that's it for my knowledge of F-Zero music Razz

FunStyle, on second thought: I agree with you on your favs list. "Snake Road" and "Heart's On Fire" (Port Town and Fire Field, respectivly, that is, if you didn't see my fan-made naming chart above), "F*CKING AWESOME!" Snake Road gives the feel of running through a sunset-let track over a series of islands (which is basically what Port Town IS, story-wise) at some 900/1000kh\h (F-Zero GX speed measurements), while Heart's On Fire gives us players the "final round" feel that the last track in the game is supposed to give us, combined with the style that would usually be heard in places such as Fire Field. And MAAAAAAAAN, do those songs deliver! Thank you, FunStyle for your input!
